Tiger looked sincere to me during the press conference. Now everyone just needs to leave him the fuck alone. He doesn't owe anyone an explanation, he doesn't owe them anything. Why should he have to disclose details of his personal life to complete strangers? It's none of our business.
I hope to see Tiger sooner rather than later. To anyone who thinks that golf is fine without him, you're kidding yourself. They didn't have gigantic winner's purses, fan attendance, and nearly as many sponsorships deals before Eldrick showed up. Considering that his appearance alone can make or break a tournament financially, I'd say his presence is pretty damn important. Also, according to an ESPN poll, 75% of people have not/will not watch a golf tournament until Tiger returns. He is the most important athlete to his sport in the United States. Take away Peyton, Pujols, or Crosby and the league still goes on. Take away Tiger and you've just lost fan interest and millions of dollars. Tiger matters. If you think otherwise, you're kidding yourself.
