Thought Bush was wearing a vest in debates? Not according to George

I know, the wire theory is nothing but conspiracy stuff.

But even the pres himself is coming up with an answer that just plain doesn't fly.

There is no way in hell that's a "poorly tailored shirt". And notice he tries to undermine the suggestions he was getting input by mischaracterizing the claims as getting shocked like an unruly dog.

The internet "conspiracy" stuff never suggested that. Folks were saying it was a radio transmitter so that Rove and Co. could feed him answers.

Again, I ask, if it is a flack jacket, as many of our militaristically inclined posters have suggested, why not just admit it? Why not just say the president of the United States is either so paranoid or so hated that he needs to wear a flack jacket when he appears in a controlled public venue?

And to the flack jacket supporters: Why in the hell would he need a flack jacket in during a debate where everyone has to go through a metal detector to get in? And why didn't Kerry wear one, if this is such a dangerous environment? Maybe because nobody wants to **** Kerry, but there might be a list of folks who want to **** Bush?

None of this makes any sense...
