Not sure about the Klan... maybe so. But that is something I've heard from hardcore Evangelicals that I know. And it is the neocon elite, and the Evangelicals as their common, cannon fodder foot soldiers, who call the shots in the GOP now.

Ol' Piyush Jindal? He's not a real American. Plain and simple. Shut yo mouth! Doesn't matter where he was born (probably in India or Paki-stan... or where ever those people come from... we all know birth certificates can be faked, right? ). But you can look at him and tell that he's not a real American. Am I right, or am I right... or am I right?!

But I'm not creating or dreaming up any of what I posted. I've heard all of those things and more. The problems with Palin and Romney I heard from a preacher who sometimes goes shooting with us. I think his church is the Church of God of Prophecy - pretty hardcore Evangelical church, from what I know. Whatever it is, the devout followers don't allow their women to cut their hair, wear pants or work outside the home. A woman should NEVER stand in front of her husband or speak up before him. An overly prideful woman, especially one who is vain, prideful and paints her face is likely to be tempted by sin and become a harlot at some point. The less devout followers don't take it that far, but none of them see Muslims, Jews or Mormons as fit to lead this great Christian nation. I haven't been able to figure out their deal with Jews. That throws me. Most of them would send their last dollar (and yours too!) and their only begotten son (and yours too!) to fight and die for Israel. But if their daughter was going to marry a Jew, they'd sooner she die a slow, painful death from cancer. And as for these pornographers... Don't even get us started on those people! They're whore mongers, that's what they are! Git behind me, Satan!!! Git behind me! You people better stop looking at them nasty pictures of them nasty women and get Born Again!

And yes, at least the ones that I've come into contact with, they think that Ed Meese was a fine fellow for pursuing pornographers and anyone possessing so much as a single marijuana cigarette.

Make no mistake about it, I am not anti-Christian, and I'm certainly not anti-God. But I do oppose those who seek to force their beliefs on others. You can believe anything that you want to believe. But the Ed Meese's of the world, the neocons and the hardcore Evangelicals have no problem wrapping their fat asses in the American flag and telling people what they should or shouldn't do, or what they should or shouldn't believe. And yeah, I do see that rabble as perhaps the greatest threat to the future of this nation.

Philosophically, I share more common beliefs with (what used to be) the Republican Party vs. the Democrat Party. And that's probably why I'm more disturbed by the sad turn that the GOP has taken over the past decade and a half or so. Any party where an ignorant, half-witted attention whore, like Sarah Palin, is a front runner is most certainly going in a different direction than I am.

One can always talk about David Duke and Louis Farakan, although Duke finally went Republican the last time I checked. I always find it humorous when people try to say, "oh, they are the 'Klan' party."

Sigh. I distinctly remember watching the "N" word fly from a Democrat Representative on live TV in the '90s. Racists, bigots and other assholes and bitches are in every party.

Everyone is given a chance in the USA but you have to grab it and prove your valor as well as that you are better than the competition. Quite a number of people have a chance but fuck it up. I am well aware that the American army relies from people of the poor hoods so you teach me nothing new but there are other people who enlisted themselves volunteerly in the army. Tolerance is pretty simple, it is defined by a simple definition: the freedom of ones stops where the freedom of others starts. You are not entitled to do what ever you want because there are rights and a constitution you have to abide to and a code of behavior to respect as well.

Americans are intolerant of the lazy, yes, guilty as charged. Illegal immigrants in the US today are not the same as they were 25 years ago. Whether it's the illegal immigrant that is lazily living off the government or the lazy American who is not paying an illegal immigrant the money they are worth, the problem is laziness.

And in both cases, the government -- i.e., taxpayer -- only pays for it, and sees 0 funding -- i.e., taxes -- in return.

If the US would go back to being a non-socialist, non-facist country where people had to come here and work and earn their keep, then we wouldn't have this problem. But as long as illegal immigrants can get lawyers and sue the government, and as long as states like California pay for services while not prosecuting the minority of Americans those who abuse the immigrant workers that do work, we'll continue to have this problem.

That's not being racist. That's trying to solve the problem.

Furthermore, I know plenty of people who do not opt for social services when they are offered because they have to "pay" for them. I have co-workers who pay for the cheapest healthcare plan instead of getting a better option for more money. It's not about cost either. Heck, Mitt Romey had to implement a "penalty" system in just to force people to buy better coverage their employer offered when they could afford it.

That's the problem in the US, people need to be forced to pay for something they should be paying for. It's systematic.

The only ones of us that understand it are the ones who are successful and run our own businesses. We understand the costs of doing business, of paying people and what things are worth. It's been to long removed from our education system where we teach kids to understand the costs involved with business, and have programmed them to, "oh, bleed my heart for this little poor person."

And we are ultimately fucked because of it.

True enough, but here's the difference. At this point in history, there's little distinction to be made between the GOP and right-wing conservatives. Wing-nuts DOMINATE the Republican Party, pretty thoroughly - not completely, but still, pretty thoroughly.

But there's a gaping chasm between the far left and the Democratic party. Most Dems just spend most of their time fretting about whether they might be seen as "too liberal" by Bill O'Reilly or some absurd benchmark like that.
So, yeah, there could be a list for Dems too. I'm sure there are several right now. And they probably come mostly from Dittoheads, Freepers and various other rationality and reason-challenged folk. Put their lists together and you might have 2 or 3 valid points from the right.

What I would be more interested in seeing is a list critiquing the Dems, written by liberals and lefties. I'd love to see Glenn Greenwald's, for starters...
