Fox (your local, free bullshit channel) and the News network are two entirely different entities, from what I understand. Seth MacFarlane himself said he has (I believe) NEVER run into anyone from the news network while he was doing his work. I don't even know how much Rupert Murdoch controls over the local entity or if he even has any say or even ownership.
So, that should answer all the implications in this thread that somehow the conservative news network somehow is making their shows more "conservative." I don't think there is any evidence for this. :2 cents:

When Fringe first came on, CBS had their own show that was similar, Eleventh Hour. I watched both it and Fringe. Eleventh Hour was a much better show in every way, and the idiots at CBS gave up on it.
Every network has pissed me off at one time or another. ABC cancelled Two Guys & A Girl. That was a great comedy. UPN cancelled Enterprise. Yes, the first season was awful, but the second season got better, and then the third was a little better, and fourth season was spectacular (except for the last show, which was a god-awful piece of crap).
This is why I watch more of the cable shows than network. The cable networks usually give their shows a better chance of finding an audience.
If we can't have Detroit 1-8-7

On a serious note there's still room apparently for all the damn CSI and Law and Order clones to thrive idk who the fuck watches those ugh...
There's also that Rookie Blue show coming back I think. Which I want to see just because I got really high when it was on last year... i thought the blonde chick was an albino and it freaked me out as I poured over her Imdb looking for proof.

Well, at least we got some closure. I just wached the last episode, and I'd say the managed to tie everything up neatly.
So, either they knew they were cancelled before they reocorded the last episode, or the show was never meant to run for more than ten episodes.
Either way, I'm glad we got to see Alderman Gibbons dragged away in cuffs.

Then again...I must admit that if I had it my way with television at this point I would put a ten year moratorium on all cop/law enforcement/investigative, doctor, and lawyer shows. There has just been way too many of them over the years, and I've gotten well past the point I'm sick of them.
