The comments he made after the match

"it was 10 V 11 with the referee on Barcelona's side"

"The referee had might as well worn a barcelona shirt"

"He was giving Arsenal more yellow cards then Barcelona because he was on their side"

etc. etc.

You don't expect that from a player like him. A disgrace to everyone. Maybe showing signs of leaving Arsenal? he even agreed lehmann should have been sent off.

Anyhow, Arsenal were outclassed and outplayed by Barcelona. but as I said yesterday, they could have sneaked a flukey win, they could have made it 2-0 had Henry scored that 2nd goal. But thats football and the best team won on the night.

Arsenal was for sure not outplayed or outclassed. Hell , i was sure Arsenal was going to win even with a red card. Oh , i dont think lehmann would have let the second goal hit the net.

I think your stupid.

Arsenal didnt do anything yeserday apart from sit back and defend. Did you see the way Barcelona played or were u asleep? Arsenal $hit their pants throughout the 90 minutes. Check how much possession each team had. All the attack came pretty much from Barcelona. Arsenal only got a goal because they were fortunate to be given a free-kick when Emmanuel Eboue tumbled threatrically under a challenge from Carles Puyol.

Apart from set pieces, Arsenal posed no threat. Only when Barcelona made a mistake at the back, did Arsenal try something.

If they werent outplayed, they still throughly deserved to lose that game. Arsenal's quality of football was nowhere the level of Barcelona's.

As far as Im concenrd, Arsenal are a poor team but just somehow fluked it through the final.

But anyway, leaving the football aside, its Henry's comments we were talking.

Isn't it logical that Arsenal played that way.
And still they had the better chances!
Fluked to the final? Juventus, Real Madrid, Villareal, even Ajax in the group stages.
Barcelona could've easily gone out against AC Milan too, Milan had soms superb chances to score and Barcelona were outplayed there. Also if Simao kept his cool, even Benfica would've beaten Barcelona. (They would've gotten to 1-1 if he scored)

I agree, Arsenal had some luck against Villereal aswell, but at least I'm big enough to admit that. Arsenal deserved to be in the final, and in my opinion they were the better team in that final.
By the way, the first Barcelona goal was offside too, nobody talks about that!

I haven't got anything against Arsenal, they are a good team. No doubt.

I don't think many people will agree with you that Arsenal were the better team on the night. Barca had more possession and played the better football on the night than Arsenal. Arsenal had chances, true, but most of the attack came from barca. The better team won on the night.

9 man at one stage? ok, but Arsenal had the chance to make it 2-0. Barca had the chance to make it 1-0 at one stage. Dont matter, at the end of the day it was 2-1 and barca were better.

When Arsenal went downt to 10men, it was always going to be a test of fitness. And unfortunatley they just didnt have enough to carry them through. TH missed the shot at 70 as his legs felt like lead.

When you play a team as quick and as fluent as barcelona it is hard enough to beat them wen its 11v11, but when its 10v12 its always going to be impossible.

It was 10 V 11.

Actually, the Arsenal players have more pace than Barcelonas. Barcelona's defenders are slow and we could see that yesterday. Lungberg, etc. was quicker than them.

Arsenal played extremely well last night, 10 vs 11.
They were certainly NOT outclassed or outplayed. They were the better team. In fact, I didnt see the stats but I think Arsenal had more chances on goal the whole night. Every report said Arsenal should be proud about the way they played against Barcelona. The referee made some Vital Mistakes in that game...
Oh, and by the way Kib345, are you a Spurs fan?

Barcelona DID play better, in my opinion but if Arsenal would have played with a full team there's no telling who would have win. Both teames played very good either way in my opinion

I didn't read all of it but I want to make something clear, defending is still football and it still requires skill and abillity. I think everyone can agree Arsenal has had one of the best defences in the Champions League this year.
Now, Barceolona wasn't by far better, might I remind you that with 10 players Arsenal went to 1-0 and kept it until the 76's minute and even though Barca pushed and pushed in the second half the real dangerous attacks were counter-attacks.
The better team who deserved to win it won but it's wrong to say Arsenal was outclassed.

Wenger didn't mention Eboue's blatant dive to win the free-kick that Campbell scored from - oh hang on, he won't have seen that will he?
And by the way, all anyone from the Arsenal camp has mentioned is that they think Barca's first was off-side, which it wasn't.
