The Walking Dead on AMC

rumor around TWD subreddit is that when Dr Jenner whispered in Ricks ear, that he said everyones already "infected".

i havnt read the comics, so i dont know the validity of the statement, and i dont spoil myself, so its just a guess

I'm starting to think this as well. Everyone's infected, it just doesn't "activate" (for lack of a better word) until the person dies.

I was glad yet surprised that Shane died, I thought Rick was going to convince him to come back and they'd act like the most hostile best buds and then a couple episodes later it'd be back to it again but they pleasantly surprised me that they killed him off. I applaud you writers

Shane seemed to be coping until Lori said all that stuff to him. Then he started to unhinge. Oops?

That's what I thought when she told him all that shit. Like, wow... why would you make him think he has a chance with you and Carl, you dumb bitch? Also, I was getting sick of Shane's bullshit, so I'm glad he's gone. Hopefully that Andrea twat is the next to go. Looks like the finale is finally going to be the all out human-zombie massacre I've been waiting for.

I began to see Rick as a General Custer type figure last season. The dude makes a LOT of bad decisions that lead to problems for the group, IMO. True, Shane was a psycho (or went psycho) and he didn't have that many good leadership qualities either. But somehow, some way, I was beginning to see things Shane's way (even though I've never liked the Shane character). To be honest, I was kind of hoping that he would clip Rick, instead of the other way around.

And something else, somebody please correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't young Carl draw down on Daddy Rick BEFORE Shane went zombie and got up from the ground?

Shane could have turned his head and moved around before he got up.

True. True. But wasn't Rick standing directly between Carl and Shane?

I might be WAY off base with this thought. But it seemed like Carl had been on the verge of joining Team Shane for awhile. So in typical Lost Conspiracy fashion, I just wondered if they meant for Carl to have some thoughts about dusting his real dad for capping his surrogate dad?

I'll have to watch that scene again. I might not have seen what I thought I saw.

I dunno about you guys but I was yelling at my TV....

"ARE YOU RETARDED, STAB Shane IN THE HEAD BEFORE HE TURNS INTO A ZOMBIE."

Why doesn't my TV ever listen to me when I tell it smart things to do? :brick:

(PS - I'm glad Shane is gone now too ---- although I'll bet that bitch Andrea is going to cause some kind of stupid drama over the whole issue.)

Now that I thought about it, in the previous episode Rick is all "let's use our knives more often", Shane kills zombies with his knife, later on gets trapped inside the bus....and didn't he for some reason cut his hand with the same knife? :dunno: Oops!

Doesn't explain how Randall become one too though. But yeah, somewhere along the ay they could have been infected by some careless thing they did and it was just a matter of time. Or maybe it just has a dormant effect and takes over when the person is dead.

That herd....think that is Randall's group, now zombified??? :dunno:

I am going totally on hunch, but I've a feeling we are going to meet Randall's group at the very end of this next episode (the season finale).

Herds are also discussed in the comic. It basically starts with one of them...perhaps at one time, it heard a gunshot or something that caused it to walk in one direction. A couple of other zombies see it going towards something, and follow by instinct. Of course, by now, the first has no idea what it is after...but it sees the other zombies walking in one direction, so it continues to walk in one direction. A herd can consist of thousands of the dead...imagine running into a group that big. Yeah.
This group looks like it is "only" hundreds large...but that is going to be quite a bit for our heroes on the farm to face alone.

Is Blade still in jail? Maybe he could help out! :1orglaugh

Must say, the show has gotten much more entertaining since they put zombies back in it (the whole premise of the show!) instead of just being a soap opera.

If everyone is infected how come those two guys in the bar they gunned down didn't return. I can't remember if either one was shot in the head.

The more I read about it, the more I lean toward the "everyone's got AIDS.... I mean "everyone's infected" theory. But I do have to rewatch that episode to see if they did get shot in the head or what. I don't remember them being shot in the head.

Yup, thanks, that clarifies it.

Now I don't have to rewatch those episodes....

And I had a brand new bag of Doritos and some jalapeno cheese dip to rewatch them!!! :cussing:

I think t-dog, andrea, and carol will die next episode. the rest will make it out alive. next season should be about the governor and the prison.

At which point during last night's episode did you people begin to suspect that Shane was going to try something stupid?

Honestly man, every episode I've been expecting something stupid and irrational from Shane. I'm glad he's dead although he was a real cool character for the series. I was sorry to see Dale go, he was a little to liberal but at least he was the voice of more reason. Andrea, must go ---- I'd really like to see her go.

My favorite character is Daryl Dixon. 1st season when I saw him I thought "this guys a loose cannon and will be one of the first characters to get killed for stupid mistakes." however as the series continues and the characters progress I'm starting to believe he might outlast them all. Not only is he wise beyond his survivalist skills he holds good personal restraint and a respect for both leadership and the necsessity of command.

trying to save someone in the group may do him in though...
