The number one thing that the military recognizes is that the whole family serves alongside the active duty personnel and that support makes it possible. It's true I complained about those two colossal douche bags, but had them banned? Nay, they did that to themselves, and I certainly wasn't the only one that they harassed or that complained about them. And if that's all you've got, and it is, you really have zilch.

I've never been a supporter of forum bans, because I believe in freedom, and I've never reported a post, though I've been the focus of shit slinging at the hands of these 2 as often as anyone. I just saw we were having an intervention of sorts and thought I'd chuck in my 2 cents.

You may be educated BC (I'm probably more educated than you as I have a postgraduate degree, btw, does that matter somehow?), and you at least like to present yourself as comfortably wealthy, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone as miserable and unloved as you are.

I would basically agree, Scott, but there is a big difference between venting and pulling things down into the gutter. No punches pulled is fine when it comes to opinions and analyses but when we get the kind of 5th grade schoolyard nonsense that goes on way too often here it should be addressed in my opinion. Otherwise, why have forum rules at all? And it isn't a liberal/conservative thing either....it takes two to tango so there's plenty of complicity to go around. I'll gladly discuss and debate any issue with anyone as long as the discourse remains civil. Things slide off the rails way too often here as it currently stands.

In defense of all, however, It seems that the rules are vague and ambiguous. I think it would be helpful if it the rules of engagement here were spelled out in more specific terms. If it's anything goes, then so be it. If not, where exactly are the boundaries? :dunno:

While I sure as hell wouldn't defend the accuracy, I kinda take this place to be representative of opinions in the USA and the world. The exodus of common sense after last November to me signaled everyone stepping back to give this government the fair go the minority were screaming about, they had their circle jerk for about 9 months, and now we've seen enough and it's time for the grown ups to take things back.

Having said that, I've also seen enough of "trump blatantly lied" and "even repubs say he's a fuck up" etc. Everybody already knows that. It's time to hear what's going to be done about it.
