Perhaps it is coincidental and it is just the excitement of election season, but one has to wonder: (i) where were they for eight years and (ii) why head straight to the politics section of a porn board? That would be fine, in normal times. You'd vote for whoever you think represents you best. But these are not normal times. This is not a normal presidency, and today's republican party is not a normal political party. They're shredding US democracy, along with the constitution. The great experiment is failing.

You're not voting for your local area or your state this year, you're voting for the future of America. trump and republicans need to lose. Americans need to reject the corruption, lawlessness, and complete lack of consequences that this administration has been getting away with. If trump wins in November, or if he wins by cheating and nothing is done about it, it's game over for the United States.

I think there are a lot of people out there who refuse to believe it's as bad as it is, because they refuse to believe that it could get that bad in the US without SOMEONE stepping in to stop it. But that someone isn't coming. No secret department or organisation is going to step out of the shadows and say "ok, this has gone too far." It's already gone too far, and there seems to be nobody to stop it. The cavalry isn't coming. The US is crumbling, and anyone who votes for any republican in any race is complicit.

What I like about what you post is that you state your position in no uncertain terms. There is no give or room to differ. I respect that.

I read an article today on one of the online papers, maybe the Guardian that said that a couple of retired Military officers have written a letter to the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to the effect that if the current president refuses to leave it will be the military's job to remove him from the White House on Jan. 20, 2021

That was a cool letter and a good read, but that's a very minor detail. First you have to have a real election, and it's looking pretty shaky at the moment. If there is a true and fair election, and if he loses, I wouldn't worry about him being removed from office.

I think the election's going to go off more or less as planned. There'll be anecdotal stories of Jesse getting his gherkin stuck in the voting machine, in Butt Stench, Mississippi, little anomalies like that, that in a nation of more than a third of a billion people happen every election cycle, to little or no impact. The only uncertainty will come from a close finish, and it won't be, I don't believe. Trump has the strength of incumbency, against a "safe" (weak) ticket. I think Trump’s winning margin will be such that the unrest will be an unhappiness with the outcome, but no real doubt about the outcome. From sober-minded people.

What I like about what you post is that you state your position in no uncertain terms. There is no give or room to differ. I respect that.

I like that too and have respect for it.

Now, if the person has an open mind and is willing to accept data and facts and adjust accordingly, all the better.
If the person is only willing to toe their propaganda line and is not willing to review new data and adjust, the only way they should be afforded respect is if they openly admit that.

There is some behavior of the latter on here. So, I can be equally as direct, mental smallness, bigotry, coupled with a deathlike grip on an ideology or propaganda is not a value. It is what is damaging this country.
