Narya sounds like my cup of tea, but I'm curious as to what you mean when you say Nenya gives preservation and protection.

It has the power to preserve the land on which the wielder stood upon. I'm not really sure about the protection, but I think it was protection against evil.

I think I'd still have to say Narya. I like the idea of being support for people, and Gandalf was always one of my favorite characters.

My favourite Istari has always been Radagast The Brown.

I liked him as well. I was always disappointed how he was brought up briefly at the beginning of the novels and then mentioned how he wasn't at Rhosgobel. That's about all I can remember of him being mentioned, but I may be wrong.
