Well, if you use a .22LR, you can get some suppression from a 20 ounce plastic pop bottle, and some carpet padding, or canned aerosol foam. It's not goanna be good for more then a few rounds. It's a nice way to work around those pesky discharging a fire arm law, when you have critters tearing up your shit, and animal control wants to make excuses. Of course now, you just drop a buck and a half on one of these new pellet guns that has similar ballistics to a .22, but makes very little noise.

Hey Lux, enjoy an endearing story about a mixed-up family. When my mother died I spoke to her sister who was my aunt more often. My aunt revealed to me that she never met my father's parents. Ever. They sell suppressed pellet guns too. The "Gamo Whisper". Couple of hundred bucks, a blast to shoot, cheap to shoot, and not hard to make a safe backstop for your basement or garage, to keep in practice. Plus like I said, If your cities animal control are slackers about raccoons, and skunks, just DIY it. But remember, with a skunk, you HAVE to pull off a head shot, or it will still spray.
