The Peloton Bike Commercial: What's The Deal With All The Outraged Snowflakes?

Seems like peoples' lives have become so easy and comfortable that they have become obsessive and persnickety in their quest to become orgasmically outraged.

For the EMPEROR!!
I had no idea who she was or what a Peleton is until it popped up in my YT feed a short time ago to be honest. It's just another example of the ridiculous outrage/snowflake culture we live in from what I've seen.

Nice brunette though. She reminds me of Emmy Rossum.

I must have missed the outrage. Was it in the youtube comments? Those have been turned off, unfortunately. :1orglaugh

The outrage is that a 116# woman was GIFTED a Peloton by her live-in BF / husband. She films herself obsessively over the next year, and (per the outrage) - a year later, at 112#, she is gushing to said BF / husband about how thankful she was / enjoyed the gift.

The outrage is that even at a svelte 116#, the CONTROLLING, BASTARD BF / husband still thought she needed to lose weight, and hence the "gift" of athletic equipment..

Well frankly I always get a kick out of the Peloton commercials because in Spanish ...
Pelotón has 2 meanings:

(1) Big Ball
(2) Big-balled

 Well, more in Spanish slang, but still. :rofl2:
It makes me wonder if there has never been a single Hispanic / Latino in the entire company that has pointed this out to the big cheeses? Especially Hispanic / Latino women. Then again, maybe the company founder is a Latino man who fancies himself having a set of Paul Bunyan Balls. :dunno:

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
No one thought that it might be because she wants to keep her tits and ass firm, so she can attract couples for them to swing with? No one thought that maybe she wants to keep her snatch snug, so hubby can give her a good fuck now and again? Maybe she needs to stay flexible for her job.....WHO THE FUCK KNOWS!?!?!

And for the record, I think she's cute.

Buncha broads; some wearing bowling shirts, some with giant nerd glasses, and others wearing brown sandals all not even 80 lbs away from 116 lbs that even Tony Dorsett wouldn’t do the sex to.

I also failed to see the outrage also. Granted the premise of the commercial is kind of stupid, and maybe it's just too ridiculous for most people to get upset about, but meh... This is more of an eyeroll type of thing.

Also as a bit of advice from my time of being alive and observing people. Don't actually think this is a good strategy for a person to use with their significant other, baring them actually being a hardcore fitness person. (and even then have the good sense to get a better piece of equipment for them than something like this.) I just have a hunch it might not go down so well.

I'm also to the point I'm finding the anti-SJW anti-outrage people to be worse than the ones they complain about. They invent more of their own outrage, have more of a victim mentality than just about anybody, or too often believe there is some ever present hidden conspiracy against them. It gets tiring, and ends up hurting them all the times they might have a nugget of a legitimate complaint in their line of thinking. I've lost count of the number of times I've heard about them complaining about something or some group or another only to find out it was a few random nobodies on the internet with a few likes that talked bad about what they wanted all while making it out to be some big movement against them, or while their oppositions positions might have been flawed totally left out how they mostly had good points that they ignored.

Working out isn't for weight loss, you lose weight by changing your diet.

Yep, just a few random nobodies on the internet. :D

Chicago Tribune: That controversial Peloton commercial provides a lesson in holiday gift-giving

Financial Times: Peloton’s sexist Christmas advert has another problem

Fox Business News: Peloton husband received ‘hurtful messages’ after new ad aired

CNBC: Peloton faces criticism over new holiday ad

I could list twenty more, but I think we get the point that this really was an SJW/snowflake meltdown of epic proportions. Just punch "Peloton ad" into Google or Bing and prepare to be entertained.

Another story on CNBC (by one of their female commentators) tried to blame Peloton's recent loss of share price on this dopey ad controversy. Now, I can easily believe that some whiny feminist types would say that they're not going to buy this overpriced exercise bike with a cheap monitor on the handle bars and a subscription plan (so you can hear some Noo Yawk goofball scream, "Alright Peloton ridahs!!!") because they're O-ffended. But the fact of the matter is, any loss in sales or revenue wouldn't show up until PTON reports NEXT quarter. The market has been severely punishing a great many of these unicorn IPOs, that don't make any money, for months. And for months I've been religiously selling calls against all of them the day that they report earnings, and that's been a solid strategy. But still, anything that can possibly be perceived by some crying ninny as being O-ffensive to a "protected group" gets air play these days - no matter how ridiculous it is.

The LGB-whatever-whatever (alphabet) crowd also tried to boycott Netflix until they stopped showing Dave Chappelle's raw comedy show. Apparently he hurt somebody's little feelings by making a joke about that Smollet character who staged his own racist street attack (and Dave called him Juicy, instead of Jussie). Netflix ignored them (as best they could) and Chappelle told them to go fuck themselves. Good for Netflix. Good for Dave Chappelle.

I get a news feed that's pretty much dedicated to business and market news. Every now & again I get some sort of weird news if it's company or stock related. That's how I heard about this utter foolishness. I don't have a problem with making fun of these hypersensitive talking babies. I mean, they are funny (to those of us who don't believe in safe spaces or crying closets). So why not? :dunno:

Like this one. She b fnny!
