the old Guns N Roses line up

Civil Wars and Estranged from Use Your Illusion II are two of the most underrated songs from the GnR catalog.

i think estranged is the most beautiful rock clip ever.

I have to admit Axl was pretty talented at his peek, had a shockingly large range for pure vocal ability,...and is a complete jerk. I can see why people didn't and still don't like him.

Between the two Slash was the more creatively talented one though in my opinion, not to mention when you hear him speak Slash actually sounds very well spoken. If one goes by the music they have made since GnR broke up it's no contest who's come out better.

you may be right. i haven't heard Axl speaking recently at all.

I loved the pictures as well as videos
thanks :bounce:

Appetite, Illusions 1 and 2 are their best albums in my humble opinion.

Cool thread Jeny.

I was fortunate to see GNR live during the Use Your Illusions tour in 1993. They were fantastic and fortunately Axl Rose was in a good mood that night and decided to finish the full show. In those days, he had a reputation for getting easily pissed off and leaving the stage early during concerts.

"Appetite For Destruction" is the best debut album ever released in my opinion. "Use Your Illusion I" and II are very good but have a few weak songs. "Chinese Democracy" certainly wasn't worth the 17 year wait.

I'm also a fan of Slash, Duff and Matt's Velvet Revolver albums and Slash's recent solo work with Myles Kennedy.

Slash seems content doing his own thing and with all the drama of previously working with head cases like Axl and Scott Weiland, I'd be shocked if he ever agrees to a GNR reunion. He probably doesn't need the money nearly as bad as Axl does and I can't see him doing anything to benefit Axl.

GNR fans should read Duff McKagan's book, "It's So Easy and Other Lies"

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
They had a few good tunes, and out of all of them, Slash was the best musician...not a phenomenal guitarist, but pretty fuckin good. He didn't light up the night sky, but at least he wasn't an overly ego inflated asshole, like Eddy VanHalen. The bands main problem was, Axle Rose thought he was the reincarnation of Jim Morrison, or some shit, and he was more of an obnoxious assclown, then an eccentric dark personality, like Morrison was. I really hope they never do get back together. The music they've done, stands on it's own, and a reunion would just produce crap. Much like bands such as Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, and The Doors...what they were, can NEVER live up to what they might be, and I would just rather not be disappointed.

its hard to believe but they only made 5 albums for 6 years of existing as a band. Other 2 albums are "the lies" which is something like mini LP and they say they spend one night to record it. and another one is album with punk covers.

I stuck with his "getting in the mood" or "being late everywhere" thing twice!
First time they scheduled a show of his new cover band in Moscow and we've got the tickets. The show should be started at 7 pm. Of course it didn't start at 7pm. neither at 10pm.
We were staying there listening to Danko Jones 1 hour warm up and then just waited for Axl to arrive. He started the show at 11:30 or so. We had to leave the venue at midnight because of having train at 0:30. We never though the show could be started so late.

And the second time we got the tickets to their show at Albany NY during our stay in New York city. We spent 100$ for roundtrip bus tickets and right before the leaving got e mail telling us the show was canceled! the tickets were non refunable :o( i was so upset about the cancelation ((
By the way the only one new gnr show i watched full, got over at like 3:30 am. i dont think its right. people got to go to work on the next day and insted of taking sleep, they were waiting to axl to come up on stage.

Yeah they got many weak songs there.
never understand why they think "bad obsession" was song so cool they played it every every 90-93 tour show.

Honey have you seen my porn music video i made using Duff's song "sleaze factory''?

yeah this book is amazing. i really loved it. He tells his story in the way i feel i were him.

This is something the same what i think about making ghostbusters3. Leave it alone and don't make blame part. you won't reach the success you had in the beggining.

Love Guns N Roses <3

i love them too!

Hey
i am a huge fan of GNR. so what you guys think will they ever be together again?

How many of you blame Axl for ruining down the band? I personaly believe he is responsible for the bands broke up.

But he is the best leader in hard rock. Do you remember them play at Freddie mercury tribute concert? how awesome that was!

Hello

-No, they are too old for that

-They are not officially finished?

-I remember, it was a live broadcast and they stood out from other performers
