Bahrein isn't a very exciting track in the first place and the fact they added onto the track just made the race long and drawn out. Maybe once they start hitting tracks that could possibly be wet the races will get more exciting...even with the rules changes.

I'm not really into F1 race but I do know update about F1...since my country (Malaysia : Sepang Circuit) is hosting it .. so, I just need to be some kind of proud of it .. and also got 1Malaysia Team (If I'm not mistaken)...

for all the drivers.. all the best .. Since Micheal Schumacher are back on the track.. the race should be more hot!..:D 1st Return he make it to 6th place, not bad. As expected from a legend.

Alrighty, predictions for Sunday's race? I think this will be the true test to see how boring the season is since Austrialia's track has some good points for passing on it. Will the drivers pass or will the avoid passing to conserve fuel?

^^ Well if the rest of the season is like this race then it's going to be fun to watch. But don't forget conserving fuel is no longer an issue under the new rules.

That was an exciting F1 race. Well almost as entertaining as watching cars drive round a circuit over and over gets. I don’t think anyone could have predicted the outcome. I sure didn’t. In the end it was a tale of two pit stops.

Button made what turned out to be a very smart pit stop early on and, in my opinion someone in the McLaren team made a terrible decision to bring Lewis in for a change of rubber when non of the top six drivers needed to do so.

A good race indeed but for me the most interesting bit was the post race interview with the head of Mclaren, Martin Whitmarsh. All he wanted to talk about was Button’s race victory but no mention of the mistake which probably cost them a 1-2 finish. Be straight with us, Martin.

I’m not a big fan of patriotism. Being respectful is the most
important thing and that has no country of origin. However,
it was nice to see Jenson and Lewis doing well. I thought they drove brilliantly. Especially Lewis whilst under a great deal of pressure in recent weeks.

I imagine Lewis' first thought was to kill Mark Webber after the race. But after he calmed down (and Webber apologized), I bet his next thought was to kill whoever made that dumbass call within McLaren. He wouldn't have won, because he's too hard on his tires. But I think he could have easily made the podium. Other than Williams, McLaren does some of the dumbest things when it comes to strategy sometimes.

Still, great drive by Button. And good job by Massa, in holding off Alonso when he had to. This was one helluva race! :nanner:

Truthfully, neither the fiance or I thought this would be an interesting race. I think at this point, it was more the bahrain track than the new rules.

Evidently in Maylasia they're going to have a team meeting to discuss some other options, like smaller break discs. I don't think the drivers will go for that immediate change though without testing. I think they're partial to keeping their cars in one piece when they can.

I wish I could see the next race but I'll have to wait to see it recorded Monday night. ;-) I love races where there's wet race possibilities.

Congrats to you both. :glugglug:
I didn't realize BlueBalls was an f1 fan. ;)

Actually, I think you "could" well be proved to be correct. Truthfully, I hope you are. :2 cents:

Exactly

The wetter the better :glugglug:

Actually, I'd love to see at least one classic 'Rain master' michael schumacher performance this season. :)

I absolutely agree with that!^

Any race where there's enough rain to make intermediates or full wet tires necessary is going to be a good race. I'm not sure if even some rain could have made Bahrain (Bohring) a good race though.

BTW, I understand that all Webber got was a reprimand from the stewards. I'm all for letting them race, but that deserved a penalty, IMO.

Imagine, or rather TRY to imagine a rainy day in Monaco.

How many guys would finish (Other than Schumi ^^)?

The circuit has become far too over the top designer - glam - progressive in my estimation. Can we just, well, race, less all of the tinkering and daytime TV - like drama ?

maybe it's just me and my old school ways :dunno:
. . yup that's gotta be it.

Well, I like new things integrated in F1

KERS is making strategies really tricky again, for one

Sorry but F1 just gets too boring. Barely any overtaking anymore. Rather watch Nascar..maybe Nascar without JJ would be entertaining since he overly dominates. But the races are still pretty exciting.

Hamilton - he's seems pretty nifty in the wet. It could be interesting to see Schumi and Hamilton on the same part of the track in the wet.

You obviously got your crystal ball out Petra. It was wet and it was a pretty good race.
