It is alright, but I'm one of those people that doesn't like the whole alternate reality concept. It's not like they couldn't come up with something good and interesting about the begging of the crew from the real timeline. It makes me wonder if it's meant to appeal more to the casual audience at the expense of the hardcore fans that drive the Star Trek universe because there's more cash in it.
