A Fantastic Game. Best graphics on ps3 for mine...

Except that The Last of Us has a great multiplayer.
Other than the occasional banner ad I had heard nothing about this game and had played none of Naughty Dog's other titles. So I downloaded this from playstation store as a lark expecting it to be another run-of-the mill post-apocalyptic romp. 5 minutes into it I realized this game was going to be epic. Having played through the single player campaign from the story line, graphics, dialogue, voice acting and game mechanics this is easily the best game I've ever played. I would say they should make a movie/tv series of the Last of Us but I've already played it and it's a masterpiece.

doubt it. they were going on about some other game that i dont remember what it was. they are all into the consoles, im not.

From what I´ve heard its more of a movie than a game, and when you do get to play the controls are apparently far from optimal.
Also... its a console... I´d rather play on something that can actually go above 30 fps and display graphics that haven't been throttled just because the hardware is 7 years old.

seems to be the theme of things. a lot of the games ive seen people play in the newer consoles have been cut scene after cut scene.

That's what I´m saying, you cant claim a game to be the best thing since sliced bread if its made for something that's borderline ancient.

A lot of people already do, if not for this then plenty of other older stuff too. They are just picking what they enjoyed the most.
Anyway, if you are skeptical about it being praised too much, just wait until GTA V comes out with a metacritic score of 103/100.

Soon I may sell my PS2. That's right, I never upgraded to a PS3 and frankly I don't regret it.

This. I've been playin' the shit outta multiplayer and it's excellent in it's own right. I just hope they release some new maps and modes.
