The Japan Thread *Japan Lovers* (People Who Love Japan) The Country Japan

Well I lived in Korea for three years and made some friends in Japan. Every time I'd go to a concert in either Osaka or Tokyo I'd give them a shout. Had way too many a blast there. Life is so different in Asia, all of Asia. Quite the learning experience and I carry it with me everyday but more importantly it's in Korea and Japan that I learned how to SWORD FIIIIIIGHT!!!!!

Excellent! Best remedy for being sick is drink lots of liquids (juice, water, and some milk) and eat light, and plenty of rest :D

I remember hearing about the video game lounges in South Korea and they have some of the best gaming computers in the world to keep up and play flawlessly.

As for Japan, it is a technological paradise! As well as a nature paradise. Best of both worlds :hatsoff:

PC rooms. Some places are as big as warehouses and they are dirt cheap. About 1$ to 2$/hr. You often see people just sleeping that their cubicle while they're gaming. You can eat there, smoke cigarettes indoors if you want. I'd smuggle some beer in sometimes. So many people all wired to a computer and almost no one talking. A lot of noise from the gaming but also a lot of people wearing headphones. It's solitude in concert.

The world wide Japanese influence is immense. It is the one country that has changed the face of our world without hardly firing a shot. Instead of corporations being against Japan, they have embraced the Japanese management style.

As far as the zen garden is concerned, I have one on my 'farm' in Farmville. I have twenty neighbours, I see I have the only one. It changes stone and gravel position every two minutes or so.

Some of the best movies in the world are from Japan...
Throne of Blood
Yojimbo
The Hidden Fortress
The Seven Samurai
The Street Fighter series
Zatoichi films
47 Ronin part 1 & 2
Shogun Assasin/Lone Wolf and Cub series
Lady Snowblood
Underworld Beauty

I also heard that every once in a while, seems far and between, that sometimes someone might die because of not getting up to move around, eat, or sleep or anything. They just game.

Also those video game training camps they have for competitions where they can pull off around 700-800 moves a minute within an RTS. Crazy! :D
