The Republican party believes in small government which sounds really great. They believe in self-reliance which is admirable and for many the perfect solution. They also believe that government should stay the hell out of people's lives. Well unless of course, your way of living isn't what they agree with.
There are many Republicans on this forum so I ask them to explain their double standard on government staying out of individuals lives yet reaching into the most personal aspect of our lives and dictating things like:
who can have sex with whom
who can marry and who can't
what type of sex consenting adults can have
who can be parents and who cannot
what you are allowed to watch on your TV / computer screen
Require pregnant women to have vaginal probes
No welfare for people but it's fine for corporations
Paying for Universal health care is wrong but tax dollars for wars is a blank check unchallenged
There will be a lot of talking in circles and calling me names but hopefully there will be a few answers to these questions.
