The European Parliament set to increase its 2012 budget.

Janusz Lewandowski, Commissioner responsible for Financial Programming and Budget, has recently sent a letter to all EU institutions asking them to cut their administrative budgets in 2012, in line with Member States austerity policies, which include cuts in administrative expenditure. He said that they “cannot ignore the broader economic and budgetary context.”

That's a good thing. But what's this?

However, it seems that the European Parliament is not planning to cut but to increase its budget. According to TheParliament.com, Geoffrey Van Orden, MEP has criticized the bureau for intending to increase the European Parliament’s 2012 administrative budget to €1.7bn.

It's typical of the European parliament, they always want more money and don't give a fuck if the citizens of Europe have to bend over backwards to find ways to pay for everything. It's about time the Netherlands got out of this corrupt, money waisting, bureaucratic machine. Just after the EU was formed queen Juliana of the Netherlands already warned of the dangers of the EU and it's seems she had a point.

No wonder, the European Parliament basically is a place where governments and parties send the people they don't want to be bothered with, like the fantastic Günther Oettinger, the current European Commissioner for Energy. Former Minister-President of the state of Baden-Württemberg.

Or Silvana Koch-Mehrin, the FDP woman in the European Parliament's Committee on Budgets. In a german TV format, 'Hart aber Fair' (Tough but fair), asked how much the national debt has risen during the 75 minutes of the show, she guessed: '6.000 Euros'. Everyone else guessed around 15 million or more, and it was actual 20 million.

Those people suck so hard.
