Outlet after outlet trumpeted the revelation that President Trump had “downplayed” the danger of COVID-19 in March, conveniently leaving out the portion of the quote where Trump said he downplayed the danger in order to avoid mass panic from the public.

Outlets also ignored that Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert, said that the President never distorted the threat from the Coronavirus, and indeed that what the President said was in line with what medical experts believed at the time:

This latest attempt to fabricate a “crisis” intended to damage Trump’s reelection prospects comes just days after the previous fabricated effort – The Atlantic’s “suckers and losers” hoax – failed to move the needle with the American public.

Painting Joe Biden as a man of honor is a piece of cake for Democrats who have centuries of practice portraying sinners as saints.

Democrats haven’t worked this sleight of history on their own – liberal historians and partisan journalists have eagerly twisted the past to create their canyon of heroes. That some of these leaders are now facing a long overdue reckoning only underscores how successfully their soiled sides have been swept aside.

Non-conservative media might not absolutely be 100% unbiased, but not nearly to the degree conservatives think, unlike most conservative "media" which in more entertainment than actual journalism. The two sides aren't equivalent. I often write of the False Equivalence Logical Fallacy here and other places, but there is a related subsection of that called the False Balance Logical Fallacy. It's especially important as it relates to the media. If the media overwhelmingly talks about the flaws and scummy nature of Trump while hardly ever saying anything positive, they aren't being unfair to Trump or being unbalanced. The overwhelming amount of objective facts, and Trumps own behavior lead to that.

It's in the same vein of not letting some nutcase holocaust denier into a classroom to have equal speech time and access to children in a history class or to espouse the benefits to his side. That's not being unfair to the denier. That's not being "unbalanced" to his views. That's enacting a sane sensible curriculum based on the overwhelming amount of evidence that shows it was real. To give that person equal time or notice would be the real thing that would be unbalanced.

When people get upset, and claim the "liberal media bias". They don't really believe that. Ultimately that is not their real problem. They are just deluding themselves. No, they don't think the media has a liberal bias, they think reality has a liberal bias.
