The "Cambria List". Any amateur porn attorneys here who are familiar with this?

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
I'm checking out the CNBC special on the porn industry. It's detailing how and why Paul Little (Max Hardcore) was convicted and sent to prison on obscenity charges.

They just mentioned something called the Cambria List - written by porn industry attorney, Paul Cambria. Seems that it's basically a self-policing list of activites that should be avoided by porn producers.

It includes:
  • No appearance of pain
  • No spitting
  • No coffins
  • No blindfolds
  • No wax dripping
  • No bondage-type toys
  • No male-male penetration
  • No transsexuals
  • No degrading dialogue
  • No ****** topics
  • No ****** sex

Here's the kicker, since obscenity is determined by local standards and is prohibited by Federal and state laws, it's the opinion of Patrick Trueman, formerly of the DoJ, that most pornography businesses are breaking the law as soon as they cross state lines or distribute their material on the internet. The ONLY thing stopping the U.S. government from shutting down everything from adult book shops to hotels that show pay-per-view XXX is a lack of desire to do so.

And don't forget, ****... October 26 is Protection From Pornography Week. George W. Bush declared that in 2003. So don't forget to shut off your hard drives that week... ya bunch of pervs!
