The Ashes

maybe they should officially change the rules for the Ashes......England only needs SEVEN wickets to get Australia all out in each innings!!!!!!!

you can't take their win away from them, but.........................Australia is gonna WHOOP your ass!!!!!

Conveniently forgetting the reprieves from being plumb lbw.
It's too easy to only remember those decisions that go against you.

Fair call to Ponting after he was asked whether his team had been on the receiving end of a couple of dubious decisions, he basically said read it in the papers and human error is part of cricket.

Much as I hate to admit it, Punter's comments immediately post match were gracious and generous and he absolutely refused to blame the umpires for Australia's miserable defeat.

From the looks of this thread perhaps some of his countrymen could learn a little something about losing with good grace.

Like him or not , Geoff Boycott has a brilliant cricketing brain .

Fair point. I remember when Boykes first became a commentator he promised he would go down the route of saying "it were nowt like this I my day" - but every time he's behind the microphone he rattles out his well-worn mantra of "me granny could 'ave 'it that wiv 'er walkin' stick" routine.

Ritchie Benaud would have to be one of the best Cricket commentators around. Shame he's not doing the ashes and I have a feeling there was talk of retirement too, sad day for Cricket when he goes.
