Whether you're a Hilton, a Kennedy or a Clinton (et al), the laws that apply to the "little people" don't apply to you. Paris got caught with a fair amount of coke several years ago, I believe. Did she get nailed with a felony, as would have happened if she'd been one of the kids from the North Avenue/Belair Road area of Baltimore? Fuuuuuck no! That's not how 'Murica works. That's not how the world works. If you're rich enough and/or connected enough, you can (literally) get away with murder.
In the World of Rey C. (which will never exist, I'm sure), [NOBABE]Lindsay Lohan[/NOBABE] and this little Hilton punk would be picking up trash along the interstate every day, rain or shine, for 12 solid months. Pretend to be sick or have cramps, that's OK... two days would be added to the sentence for every day that they're too "sick" to work. And they wouldn't be in a private cell, with a (bribed) personal attendant/guard to keep them safe. General population for all.
Does anyone else think this line of perverted "justice" started with the middle English? I mean, their justice system mandated that those of noble birth, convicted of crimes, receive different types of punishment than commoners who committed the same crimes. Noblemen couldn't be tortured. Commoners could. Even the methods of execution were different. I think we Americans are under the false illusion that our criminal justice system is blind. But in reality, it's as dependent on class and wealth (gender, religion and race) as the systems that existed 500 years ago, or nearly so, IMO.
