No doubt, the photographers, makeup artists and photoshop retouching professionals are the real award winners in most all cases. What a facade all this so called beauty has become, as well as the whole marketing machine behind it. The perception of beauty has been so distorted by manipulation and marketing. Blah.

Almost everyone knows these practices exist. Most people don't care and only care about what they see in the media.

Personally, I don't care what she looks like outside of the photos I see of her made-up because it's not like I a) want to be with her or b) listen to her music or idolize her,

Anyway, I've seen her live, she was quite hot, so...

I don't mind them to be photoshopped, it's part of the show.
The show business is like a magic show : you see the magician in in his tux, with his big hat and the rabbit is the hat and a few minutes later there's no moe rabbit but another few minutes later the rabbit is back in the hat. And it's amazing ! But then comes someone who knows the trivk and he explains it to you and the magic is goe, the guy in his tux who you used to be amazed by is now just a fraud. And it's sad.
I don't wanna know the tricks, I don't care how the girls look like in the "real world". I wanna be amazed, even if there is a trick.

I agree as well. I prefer natural beauty (no makeup) and softer natural curves on a women.

I think the second picture you posted, is it Heidi Klum? Anyway whom ever, it looks like they still have on makeup to me. Now days, with all the kinds of makeup, you dont have to have your face painted like a clown to still have on some base, lip gloss, eye liner, etc.. and look natural. But I still prefer completely natural, no makeup.

Yeah, the left hand pic may have been recently recycled, but it and the others from the same shoot were first published in Esquire in July 2010. Although it doesn't really matter, the point is "look at that plain Jane on the right."

It's not even the fact he's a twat, it's the fact that he's crudded up beyond belief and by proxy so is she. I think you go within a foot of Katy and you end up with more germs coarsing through you than the monkey in Outbreak.
