Tevez set to seal Man City switch

Since the arrival last year of the new owner, Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, emirati multi-billionaire that havec decided to his his money to built the N°1 football team in the world buy buying the best players, City has started to bought some great plauyers such as Shaun Wright-Phillips (from Inter Milan)), Shay Given (Newcastle), Robinho (Real Madrid) and now Carlos Tevez (Manchester United).
And they will probably buy Emmanuel Adebayor (Arsenal) very soon.

City has become some kind of new Chelsea...
I hope they won't get good results, it would mean that alla you need to built a great team is a lot of money.
In the 90', Bolton tried to do so. The missed. Chelsea tried they succeed but not totallyh thought they never won Champions League...

God Bless the real team from Manchester, I am looking forward to this season.

The additions they have made this off season should help them crack the top 6 this year.

my baby takes the morning train
she works from nine to five and then
she take another home again
to see the manchester united football team:glugglug:

Its official, signed up to a 5 year contract, pity Fergie couldn't sort out a deal for him, I think losing Tevez is the one decision he'll live to regret!

Manchester took Owen and they are stuill looking for another striker (Aguero is on the top of their list). So I think it's a good choice to havec let Tevez go.

Wow I read the deal is worth £64m! Of course this was in a tabloid so who knows whether or not it is correct. But if it is, £64m!!!! Far too much money for what I can tell is a very average player.

Yep huge loss for MUFC and huge gain for MCFC, good bit of business. Hes one of the few foreign players to the Premier league I highly rate (not just a money grabbing mercenary happy sitting on benches).

It would be really funny if Burnley won the league this year :1orglaugh

That would be a turnout for the books, heres hoping hey. Lets hope the other two Premier new boys finish 2nd and 3rd on that note.

I wouldnt pay too much heed to this I think its probably nearer £30M, but with Manchester City I wouldnt be at all surprised

As a Rangers fan I used to like City, they seemed to be the working-class manc club, whereas Man Utd's fanbase is cockneys, Americans and Asians.

However now I detest the Premiership, they are ruining football. The day they go tits-up cannot come quickly enough.

Well the local Man U support is all within 6000 mile radius these days. Not a great fan of ManC but see where your coming from with the working class roots and all. Quite like Mark Hughs though hes a cool manager, but the pressure will really be on him to perform next season.

I hate some aspects of the Premiership too, Sky has turned it into a money making carnival at times with real fans not really being catered for anymore.

They have money to burn. I'm starting to believe £64m actually is the price they paid. But it's their money, let them do as they please with it...

Yes youre right they have money to burn (and too much it would seem) the truth is often stranger than fiction in football, so £64M is probably not out the realms.

om3ga

It's good to be the king...

Good riddance to Ade-bye-bye.....now show the Gooners THE MONEY!!

Thats a very good skill of Arsene Wenger, buy these players cheap and then sell them for a huge fat profit at just the right time.

The Boss might have missed on maximizing Adebayor profit though. We should've gotten rid of Adebayor last year:mad:

As a Goon, I wouldn't mind seeing Adebayor head out the door for a nice price. I would prefer it be to a team not in the EPL.

Man City is putting together a pretty formidable team. I think Tevez is a stud player. I think Robinho is totally overrated. Roque Santa Cruz might be overrated, however he was great for Blackburn when Hughes was their coach. Maybe Hughes knows how to get the best out of Santa Cruz:dunno:

I think the Big 4 is still the Big 4. Man City might be in 5th spot after all this spending.
