Sounds like you're doing it right, well same as me anyway, sorry i'm out of ideas

im using the latest one..CS2

the grainy effect is not a filter, what i do is first i create my sig in photoshop, then i use Imageready for the animations, where i save the sig in a gif format, this causes the whole sig to have a grainy effect.
I have to optimise the sig otherwise it saves layered in a psd. format

When you optimize a sig with Paint Shop Pro you have the option to tweak the optimizing! Does your Phototshop have any settings that are changeable when optimizing because if so may be you can tweak it there! Just a thought!:thumbsup:
