Terrell Owens = Overrated

What's with this guy, he bad mouths his team, then he apologizes, they deny him. Now he's probably going to have his contract terminated and sign up with the other hungry teams waiting to pick him up. Personally, I think Randy Moss is a better team player, and overall I love Marvin Harrison for being such a modest guy. Opinions?

Terrell has what we like to call a massive ego, and a field a hundred and twenty yards long is not big enough to fit this ego. Most likely he will be signed by the most pathetic and desperate team in the NFL.

TO has all the talent in the world, and none of the class. I'm so glad to see that Philly had the character to let him go. Screw it if they lose a game or 2 because he's gone. They lose TO and retain their souls.

Anyway, I'm not so sure losing him will turn into losses. Poison like him just may have been a more negative factor on the field than his skills were positive.

Another guy who believed his own hype. I'm glad he's gone, but the sad part is that some other NFL team will pick him right up. Sometimes when people have everything, they just want more.

Usually the Raiders pick up older and or attitude problem players. As foxfilm said a few posts ago, TO has a lot of talent, just no class. I liked how he broke out into a bit of a laugh and was smiling when his agent had his 15 mins. in front of all the reporters. The smile and laugh made me realize how "genuine and heartfelt" his apology was. Pathetic, imo.

i really don't understand why there is a team out there that would possibly pick him up. look at his past record. he goes to a new team, everything is good, he loves it here, and then one game he doesn't get the ball and the shit hits the fan. he starts running his mouth and then he is no longer welcome. all he did was make himself loose a lot of money. i imagine where ever he ends up next he will still get in trouble for running his mouth.

TO didn't used to be as bad as he is now his first couple years in SF. Now he ranks right up there with Keyshawn Johnson. They both are crybabies and bring the character of whatever team they play on down. I cannot believe he took shots at McNabb like that. McNabb has more class in his little toe than TO has had in his whole sorry existance. he got what he deserved and will probably go play with the raiders or the cowboys. Jerry Jones would sign his mother if he thought he could get back to the super bowl.

I don't think TO has a large ego at all. I think it's the opposite. He strikes me as an insecure little boy who has to act out to get attention. The money, the fame, the accolades and even a Super Bowl aren't enough to fill the insecurity, he wants to feel needed and wanted. So he does something stupid, they film him for a couple weeks and he gets his fix. It's pathetic really. But the Eagles knew what they were getting, this is just a replay of San Fran.

Milion dollar talent with a 10 cent head.

Take off his tongue and i want him on my team any day of the week !!

T. O. will definitely be signed by another team in the NFL whenever he is released by the Eagles. That is truly sad. No matter how much T. O. brings to the table as a wide receiver, the off the field baggage he brings does not justify his being signed by anybody.

The man is in serious need of psychological :helpme: .

I guess about the only good thing that is most likely to happen to T. O. is that he will never get a big money, multi-year contract again. He'll get lucrative one year contracts, for sure. But unless and until he learns to keep his mouth shut, that's all he'll get.

I almost feel sorry for his agent. Almost.

:glugglug:

My favorite quote from T.O. after one of his former 49er teammates said he couldn't catch for shit...

T.O. said on ESPN,

" I know one thing I caught.... and that was a flight to Honolulu. "

Whether you love him or hate him, thats some funny stuff.

No, hes not overrated. All the WRs on the eagles couldnt even get enough yards to what he got in the superbowl with a broken leg.

amazingly enough they got to the super bowl without him, and to nfc championships many years before he got there...

Contrary to what most of y'all seem to think, according to NFL insiders, there aren't many, if any teams that are chomping at the bit waiting to sign Owens.

He has poisoned the well with 3 teams, one of which, the Baltimore Ravens, he never even out on a uniform or participated in a single practice, much less played a game.

As for the Raiders, yeah, they have a history of taking cast-offs and "problem players", but none of them have been problems in the locker room, and none of them slag off their teammates, as Owens has done.

Owens may well get signed by another team, but if he doesm it will be a one year contract, and it will continue to be one year contracts for the rest of his career and he'll never get the multi-year multi- million dollar contract that he wants.

And it's all his own damn fault.

I heard that the dolphins have already had their drama and they don't need anymore. As long as he doesn't look toward NY I don't care where he goes.
