I watched the premier episode and I may give it a few more shows to get its feet underneath it. I'm worried that it's just going to devolve into nothing but a chase from the evil Terminators every episode without developing the story or the characters.
On the plus side, Summer Glau is goregeous. Sarah Conner is hot too, but not Linda Hamilton T2 type hot.:bowdown:

are they gonna invole the plot of this show with the new moive?
I like it a lot. Of course that's pretty easy considering that there is nothing else to watch on tv. Anyway, I think that it's better than T3 and that it keeps the mythology pretty well. The only glitch I saw was in the pilot episode, if there was a time machine since the 1960's in the bank then how come when Reese came back in 1984 in the Terminator, he didn't know about it. Was it because John needed to be conceived? That was the only question I had. I think they missed that one. Anyway I like it and will continue to watch.
I don't know, all I know is that it's the same producers and that they working on a new trilogy that will involve Christian Bale. I was under the assumption that the new trilogy would be leading up to the design of the T-800.
I'm under the impression that the time travel in the Terminator mythos isn't a completely exact science.
But in any show or movie that features time travel, if you want to change an event you have to get pretty close to the event in question. I guess it works better for storytelling (well, sometimes it does.)
The show is good overall, but without Arnold i'm not used to it anymore.

If i'm not mistaken, in the original film reese says that they discovered the time machine accidentally and then they sent him back in response to finding out about the plot of skynet to send back a terminator. The impression that I got was that neither the rebels or the machines were the one's that created it. we can only assume that the rebels captured the time machine from skynet, otherwise how would they have been able to use it? I'm not sure, but I think that he also said they destroyed it after sending him through so that skynet couldn't use it again. It was never explained in T2 or T3 how the machines were sent back in time.
hm. I just wrote an essay on my intrepretation of the events in the Terminator movies and how they relate to each other. I originally intened it to be posted on here, but it turned out to be about three pages long on MS Word, so I'm thinking maybe not. I don't want to link it from my personal blog, anyone know a place that I could post it on so that I can link to it on here for those intrested?
We haven't got this show in the UK yet, but I was wondering why make this at all? I thought the franchise was dead, and why on earth make a new trilogy of movies? When old franchises are seriously brought back with a slew of new stuff they tend to fall flat on their faces.
It would be nice for execs to come up with new stuff, instead of reviving older projects, no Arnie, no Linda, no Cameron, no thanks.

i almost got excited when i heard it was coming out since im really like the terminator series. well, i used to. that 3rd one was close. but then, i saw the previews to the sarah connor chronicles and i about peed my pants. looked so cheesy i went out and bought crackers.
