The things said about Cruz are the same things that were said about Reagan. The establishment hate him, that's great. If he is successful in pulling the candidates more to the right, even better. The best hopes for Dems hinge on two old white women and so far a woman veep candidate spells doom for a campaign. It has been tried twice now. While I don't agree with that assessment I do believe that the GOP is currently in decline and will stay that way as long as they embrace a socially conservative agenda. Soe conservative would answer you that the recent congres election proves they haven't lost the country. The truth is they have. But part of the democrat voters don't vote for congress elections but do vote for presidentiel elections. 'cause in congress election you vote for only 1 congressman. If he is elected he'll be just one ou of hundreds of other congressmen. But in presidential, there's only one president in the White House. And he's got about the same amount of power than the whole congress.
Not to mention the fact that many democratic candidate ran conservative campaigns that didn't appeal to their democratic voters and weren't conservative enough to appeal to republican voters.

I refrained from harsh criticism of Obama for 6 years but it is clear that the conservative viewpoint is not welcome here unless it is conservatism cloaked as a moderate.
If my attitude has changed, it is because of the constant belittling of conservatives that takes place here.

Don't worry....I'll get over it :1orglaugh) as much as I was referring to your posts in general. I can relate to your frustration but to sink to the level of the lowest common denominator is a much worse option than taking the high road. Name-calling and mudslinging are childish and usually indicative of a weak argument. It's much better to simply ignore those comments or find some other way to demean them rather than simply following suit. It makes you appear shallow and disingenuous. I also think I can tell the difference between genuine mudslinging and tongue-in-cheek sarcasm. You've dealt out a lot more of the former in recent weeks. Again, not a personal affront but just an observation. I wouldn't make the comment if I didn't respect you. Enjoy your vacation.

I find it hilarious that Cruz announced his run at Jerry Fallwell's "university" wink wink where they actually teach students that the earth is 6000 years old. Nice to see that several students who were required to attend Cruz's appearance or be fined were wearing Rand Paul shirts to show their dislike. I like some things Paul says but other are just fucking retarded, just like his father.
