I won't explain in details how taxes works in Quebec or in Canada but...
We are actually under elections in Quebec (kinda, governor election in US) and one of the idea proposed by the Liberal candidate is to un-tax cultural goods.
As we speak, Quebec is taxing rougly everything (besides food) you can buy with a 7% tax.
I always have been angry that culture was taxed. Is it brilliant, by example, taxing book selling? Theater, museum, concert or movie tickets? It was ridiculous in the first place in my opinion.
I'm curious if where you live there is taxes on cultural goods - and what do you think about such kind of taxes.
SIDENOTE: I might vote Liberal for the first time in my life because of this de-taxing.
