Need a laptop for school,music/video,lots of memory,porn(of course)and some light gaming.Really not sure what to get.Are Macs really that good?Have looked at Dell studio xps and macbook pros so far.Most I will spend is 2,500 out the door.Any suggestions?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 myself. I have zero complaints about it, so I would definitely recommend it.

I have an Acer Aspire 6920G. I can highly recommend it! Or even better buy the bigger version. Aspire 8something.
They have 18.something inch FullHD screen. 4GB Ram, good CPU and up to 640GB HDD.
Oh and BluRay.

And theyre not so damn expensive like Sony or Dell with less power.
(Of course Dell has a great quality and service, but yeah its more expensive)
Apple Mac Book Pro is actually pretty much the best, but who wants to (or can) afford 2 or 3 thousand bucks for a laptop with a smaller HDD, smaller RAM and CPU and wothout FullHD screen?

The sad part is that a long time ago their service really was above average. Then they got as bad as everybody else.
Dell/Alienware = iffy right now of course - great for gaming, porn is iffy.
Asus = Very good deals. Great for gaming and porn, Says on the box.
North East Falcon / Mac = over priced pieces of shit that work like pcs.
They also show that mac/pcs always suck on one side and always suck on the other side. Well in my ad they'd both be shot at and beating to death. Just saying.
check out asus or go with something at newegg or a discount laptop area. Just make sure it has a garentee and it's new if that's what you need for speed and shit.
Whatever you do stay away from porn on a computer. Use your external hard drive. Then at least when your running they won't think you have an external hard drive. They'll stop chasing you and take your laptop instead. They'll find it pretty empty and figure you did nothing illegal. Give you back your laptop and wish you a good day.

You could spend a quarter of that and get a laptop that'd fit your needs, unless your gaming isn't as light as you suggest. I'm studying software engineering and want to be able to play games also and this is what I'm buying before this Fall starts:

Of course, if I wasn't planning on playing first person shooters I'd save myself $400 or so and get a similar machine without dedicated graphics. Unless you have a legitimate need anything more than that is just wasting your money.
That's pretty general, so pretty much any laptop you can find right now (save for a netbook) would do the job more than admirably.
As an owner of an Asus laptop - it fits my needs: I can have 2 hard drives in there (1x 320gb and 1x 160gb), 4gb of RAM (upgradable to 8gb) a dedicated video card and a numpad (I'm like using it). This laptop was $800, but some places are selling it for about $600 now.
Macs and Dells are OK - but if you want expandable space, then getting a laptop with more than 1 hard drive bay is a must.
And with that much, you can probably buy one Dell/Asus and a Mac.
