Student Loans Debt Dodgers

Rey, we come from an age where student loans were cheep. It's not like that anymore. Kids (well, kids) now a days, have to shoulder like 30 or 40 or 70k in debt once getting their cap and gown. Rey, it ain't easy getting a job either. Graduation does not hand anyone employment. I know you have been there. I was too.

The thing is, education should be cheep. Why does it have to be expensive? Call me stupid but what am I missing here?

Rey C.

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
It can be cheap. Bob. I detailed how in the posts above. How much are the in-state junior or community colleges where you live, Bob?

If you have the right degree and the right attitude (during your interview), it is not as hard as some make it. Companies are "importing" people in part because they can't find enough qualified Americans (that will actually show up everyday for work). But yeah, if you get a degree from Harvard in Left-handed Underwater Puppetry, you're due for a hard life and few job prospects. Welcome to the world of bartending.

I think one of the reasons that a college education is so expensive is because universities are top heavy with unnecessary, overpaid employees and management.

I agree with the statement that it should cost as little as possible, because in any case, this staff is an investment in economic development. In this case, it's a very complex system, with the creation of the required number of places for certain specialties that are needed by the state as a whole. It must be economically justified. Besides, paid study can be attributed to a general example, when you want to get a better service (education in our case), therefore, if you have such an opportunity, you have a choice between paid and free tuition. Then you need to raise the level of education in state schools, and this also requires money from the budget, some kind of audit is needed, who will monitor the quality. In addition, online education is developing very strongly now (services like WolframAlpha, EssayShark, edX, Udemy, etc.), which provides an opportunity to get knowledge both for free and for a fee, and many well-known universities are laying out their courses there (CS50's Introduction to Computer Science from Harvard University), so there is no doubt about such courses. I consider this question to be very multifaceted, which requires many changes in the current system of providing education and its feasibility in the conditions of such technological development.

Could this be because the imported are better educated? Through schooling or some work experience? I mean, yea. work ethic lacks amung our tadays yutes taday.

There should be a law in this country:
No person shall be required to be admitted into college without a graduation from high school.

Now, sports conferences. If the kid isn't going to school, she ain't graduating from high school. Back in our day, the coaches had a "maintain a GPA of X" rule. I don't know of any or follow those rules anymore. Time to get back on topic.

I should go back and re-read the first 2 pages. and see what that the kid thing is all about.

These Americans fled the country to escape their giant student debt

Student loan debt will reach $2 trillion by 2022, it's a national emergency.

The only thing I can see the republican government doing is trying to pass a law that would force parents to pay off their kids student loans.

Or they could change the tax law to eliminate "business meeting" and other rich asshole deductions from income tax, that would generate a few trillion more tax dollars every year for state and federal governments.
Then they could change the student loan laws so that the students who are struggling to pay, only have to pay 10% of their net pay for 10 years, and their loans are cleared.
And only future students who go into the STEM field are given loans, every other field is disqualified from future government loans.

And make any type of loans, like payday, credit card, etc..., have a max interest rate of 10% per year.
Corporations are robbing people into poverty with deceptively high interest rates.
