My guess is most people who get their student debt zeroed out by Biden will go on some sort of spending spree. Progressive superstar Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently admitted as much while on the "Late Show with Stephen Colbert."

The U.S. representative from New York said Biden’s latest student cancellation proposal means “hope to buy a house, or have a kid, or travel abroad or maybe even go back to school.”
Oh no!

Kevin O'Leary is also disgusted:

"We teach everybody in America, you have to pay back your debt but not you, 5 million people for the first time ever and maybe the last? You 5 million, you’re off the hook? Why? Why is this fair…?" he went on."

And, James Carville:

"Why are we forgiving student loans for people that go to Harvard?" Carville said, before referencing Scott Galloway. "Which, according to Scott Galloway, quite accurately, is nothing but a hedge fund that has classrooms .."

Who are these people and why should anyone care what their opinions on anything are?

Also, this is not a news feed. Comment or don't post.

O’Leary is a Canadian so I am not sure what makes his voice so important. He also obtained UAE citizenship. Why no US citizenship? O’Leary is just happy he got his tax cut from Uncle Sam.

Why are some people so upset with student loan forgiveness, but not with their own hero's inability to repay debt?

Six of Trump's entities have filed bankruptcy and he is quoted as saying: "I've used the laws of this country to pare debt. ... We'll have the company. We'll throw it into a chapter. We'll negotiate with the banks. We'll make a fantastic deal. You know, it's like on The Apprentice. It's not personal. It's just business."

... and he avoided paying income tax on $280m of debt foregiveness:

... and he is avoiding paying two civil judgments amounting to over $500m.

This guy has avoided repaying millions of dollars of debt, but that's okay? I go back to comment #5. Bailing out corporations, giving tax breaks to the wealthy, and corporate subsidies are 'good', but forgiving student debt is 'evil'.

@Pornfan99 just to be clear, is it all student loan forgiveness you have a problem with, or are there situations where you could support it?

I think the USA is in the transitional phase towards the general public is used to having everyone being able to get educated the same, without the fear of debt hanging over heir head.
The US of A are moving into the 21st century, so to say, as industrial societies aka first world countries handle things for their citizens.

People can decide whether or not to go to college; that is fine. But, do NOT expect those who elected NOT to, to pay for those how did!
