I stayed at the Hampton Inn on 8th Ave this past week while on a business trip.
I check in and take the elevator up to my room and when I open the door and walk in, the room has been serviced. Beds made, fresh towels, everything you'd expect in a room at check in. Except for one problem. All the normal things like flyers for restaurants and take out and television channel guides are all over the floor and bed and everywhere.
Plastic liners for the ice cube tray and coffee filters laying on the floor as well. My room is street side facing 8th avenue so I immediately think, there has to be a window left open. I check and nope, all windows secured. I decide to go back down to the lobby and tell the guest clerk and they send a maid up to see my room. She gets a weird look on her face and we go back down to the lobby and they give me another room a few doors down it was perfectly fine.
So today I tell some people about it and they start with "man it's New York" That hotel has been there for years more than likely under many different names.maybe that room had a murder in it and that is some poltergeist shit going on".
The logical conclusion is:
Disgruntled employee, maid.
Window washers or maintenance opened the window from outside and a gust blew shit around
What say ye? The look on the maid's face said " Tate..Labianca murders.
