I'm getting tired of posting every movie review individually, so decided to create my own thread. I saw Across the Universe tonight, and I give it 6/10. Rather weak on plot and characterization, but good visuals and a syrupy sweet storyline. As for the use of Beatles songs, some were appropriate, but most were not. If you liked Moulin Rouge, you'll probably be a fan of Across the Universe - if not, you probably won't be sold on it. Evan Rachel Wood is pretty good as the female lead, and she has a decent voice. Bono plays a version of Timothy Leary, and it's worth the price of admission to hear him sing "I am the Walrus".
