The difference here is that your condition is correctable by glasses, whereas mine is not. Most people with my vision and worse wear dark glasses because they're a bit self concious(or at least in the case of my ***, *******, grandmother, etc) because of our eye movements. I've always seen it as a bit silly because if people can't accept us with our eye movements then they don't deserve to know us while wearing cool shades.
