Mugabe 'preparing for national ****** campaign'

South Africa's state weapons company is helping Zimbabwe to obtain a shipment of Chinese arms, the business has admitted.
About three million rounds of ammunition, thousands of mortar bombs and rocket-propelled grenades, are on board the An Yue Jiang, a Chinese vessel anchored off Durban, awaiting clearance to unload.

Observers fear that President Robert Mugabe's regime could use these weapons against ordinary Zimbabweans if the country descends into chaos. The main trade union at Durban port, Satawu, said its members would not unload the weapons if the ship docks.
"We are concerned that the current stand-off could mean the arms would fall into the hands of those who want to use military ***** against the people of Zimbabwe," said its general secretary, Randall Howard. "The South African Government cannot be seen as propping up a military regime."
