Soliciting Interviews with Pornstar

Hi all,

Sorry to fly in here like a noob, but I'm a fashion journalism student with an upcoming deadline and no interviewee.

I was wondering if anybody had any tips on how to get interviews with pornstars, as I'm worried that I too easily get lost in the fanmail.

Any responses are appreciated. Or if anybody knows a London-based pornstar who might be willing to do it (or can even suggest a twitter account that might be worth tweeting to) I would be incredibly appreciative.

Yeah, I don't remember if I filled out an interview or not. I don't think I did. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

Why would a fashion journalist wanna interview a pornstar? Wouldn´t it make more sense to interview someone who´s got some sort of connection to the fashion industry?

It's different. Lots of porn stars get products and clothing from different designers for their shoots. It's not street fashion, but it is a type of fashion.

Maybe the interview is to compare and contrast the two styles?

EDIT: Or maybe it's to dig a little deeper about why porn stars go for porn instead of fashion.

While I'm not the most fashionable of fashion students, I didn't want to do the whole interviewing a tailor or runway model because I feel there isn't much new to say. I think the wardrobe choices in porn can be just as interesting as those in TV series or movies (the clothing serves a very clear and overt purpose in shoots and videos) and at the very least, I reckon it will be original.

Even so, the brief is pretty open. So building an interesting profile is my biggest objective here.
