In the last year, I've gotten heavily involved int he online foot fetish community. In the process, I've discovered that, contrary to what I believed, foot fetishes vary widely. And my foot fetish is mostly a sole fetish. I get far more turned on by soles than by any other part of the foot or anything else, period.

I've found that those whose foot fetishes are like mine are a relatively small percentage of foot fetishists but that we're an extremely passionate about our fetish. Every sole fetishist who I know, including me, is absoltely obsessed with soles.

So I've started a separate thread, dedicated exclusively to sole fetishism. I hope it draws many great posts!
 
A guy in a forum recently inquired about foot fetishism, saying he wishes to understand it. Here's what I wrote to him.

I appreciate your open mindedness and interest in understanding foot fetishism. I'm a 39-year old white heterosexual male who grew up feeling like the only foot fetishist in the world and believing that something was wrong with me. As an adult, i came to realize that having a foot fetish is unusual but not wrong. Foot fetishes vary widely but mine is primarily a sole fetish, and it's extreme. Men are much more visually stimulated than are women and I would rather see a woman fully clothed but barefooted, especially if her soles are visible, than see a woman nude but wearing shoes. Simply put, the difference between me and the typical heterosexual man is the part of the female who we're attracted to. For example, I'm a fan of a model named Nikki Sims, who does semi-erotic poses. Many men complain that she never shows her vagina. But I never noticed that she didn't because she often shows her soles, which are awesome and which I'd much rather see than any other part of her body. I don't expect others to want to be like me but equally I don't want to be like others. I love my foot fetish, I'm proud of it and I wouldn't give it up for anything.
