Ok, he's quite wealthy. But there's a diference between having money and flaunting it to the faces of the millions of people having hard time working their asses of for minimum wages that will hardly be enough to provide the very necsary goods to their families.
Back in 2007, Sarkozy celebrated his victory with celebrities and business men in the Fouquet's, one of the finest and most expensive restaurant of Paris, located on the Champs Elysés.
Hollande celebrated it is Tulle, the city he' been deputy since 1997.
Back in 2007, Sarkozy immedietaly took some vacations on a friend's yacht
Hollande is actually working on the many problems he's gonna have to face and on his very first decisions as a President. He will have an official meeting with Angela Merkel (Chancelor of Germany) on May 12, a few hours after the official start of his presidency.
I don't mind if Hollande is rich or not. I want it not to spend my taxes money for nothing. I want the money to be spend very carefully and only for useful things. I'm fed up with the "bling-bling president".
Ace post.
I'm not naaive enough to say he's gonna solve every problem in a few weeks. But I'm not pessimistic enough to say everything is gonna be worst. All I say is "Wait & see".
Foreigners will be given the right to vote for their mayor and that's it. To me, granting this right to legal foreigners who have been in France for many years is not shocking. About the gay mariage you talk about ruining the values of France. Do I need to remind you one of it : Equality ? Do I need to remind your the very first article of the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen : Men are born and remain free and equal in rights.

I love the way this guys posts contain facts & examples as opposed to opinions. More of this please, others could learn from this.
Authorizing foreigners to vote will create more socialist voters and therefore more leechers of social helps and free healthcare.
Socialist doesn't necessarily mean parasite. There are plenty of hardworking Socialists.
People who were working in the public sectors have contributed far far less than those working in the private ones on teh economical plan.
While I'm not familiar with French economics, I am familiar with the level of truth in your posts and English economics.
When state services were handed over to private companies, the services immediately got worse and started to cost more.
Why is this? Because companies don't exist to provide a service, they exist to create wealth for their founders.
Example: After privatising the Job centre system which controls the hand-out of benefits and is responsible for stopping benefit fraud, many people unable to work due to physical incapacity are now denied their benefits, but many false claims got through the system.
One in five in fact. Why? Because the company gets a sum of money whenever it gets somebody back to work, the company would (falsely claim) to have returned a person to work when the person had in fact returned themselves to work. So we got from disorganised, ad-hoc benefit fraud commited by individuals who won't talk about it in order to stay below the radar, to organised en-masse benefit fraud by a company trusted with the system.
Conclusion: Government workers are better than giving the job to a company.
Good for him.
So a socialist can't own properties? People sure do like to conjure up myths, especially dumb people.

Or as ducky would've said it, Yup yup yup!
