So I Got Drunk For the First Time and I'm Kind of Worried

No, no, I didn't "knock" anyone up, lol! I was at a friend's cottage for a weekend. I've never ever been a drinker, but I decided to get drunk both days, Friday, and Saturday. I consumed a considerable amount of alcohal. Enough to make me not remember what happend! Anyway, on Sunday I woke up feeling like complete crap. I was dizzy and had terrible nausea. What I'm worried about is I don't feel the same as I did before I drank. I know that sounds strange, but have this feeling like I'm in the clouds. I have been light headed and have had a considferable amount of nose bleads these past few days and the case of the shats! Even concentrating at work has bothered me. I find my senses and motor skills are lacking a little. I mean, I can still functions, but I don't feel not like myself. Can the alcohal still be in my system even till today? This whole thing may sound strange, but I'm actually really worried. I'm temetped to talk to the doctor.

If you were THAT drunk, it is possible it will effect you for a few days afterwards.

Have you asked your friends what happened after you got drunk? Did you do anything else that could of caused it? Like, I dunno, a head injury?

I'd wait a few more days before getting worried. Alcohol is a great way to flush out water, some vitamins etc., so if this was your first time and you drank a lot (bright idea by the way), I wouldn't be surprised if that's it. Wait a few more days, drink a lot of water, eat fruit (juice anyone?) and see if it passes. It could simply be a case of dehydration.

Sounds like a case of dehydration. Should drink lots of water. Also, whenever you do drink, it's a good idea to drink water afterwards. A hang-over is a result of dehydration.

A first time always messes you up for a while.

Yes a hangover can last for days.If you keep getting drunk you will learn to deal with them somewhat but thats up to you.Its where that saying all things in moderation comes from. You can drink some and get a buzz and not be too bad next day most times. But most people who really as they say "tie one on" will feel it later. Some don't,those are the ones who really get into trouble with it lol.Oh and not remembering things can be dangerous.

'The Day-After' checklist:

(1) If you open your eyes and see your bedroom ceiling, please go to (2).
If you open your eyes and see the sky, you need to get up and go home..then go to (2)

(2) Is the room spinning?
If YES - lie down again.
If NO - proceed to (3)

(3) Check that you still have the following:

2 x Arms
2 x legs
2 x eyebrows
2 x testicles
1 x penis (be sure to check for lipstick marks while your there)

(4) Check for any of the following unusual marks:
faces drawn on your ass
False spectacles, moustaches on your face.
Tattoo on your chest saying 'Vernon's bitch'

(5) Check that you haven't developed overnight bald patches or words shaved into the back of your head.
Also check that your pubic hair has not turned grey...blue...orange...green...purple..

(6) Check your bed for any animals...ie: sheep can become restless and should be discreetly returned to their fields.

(7) DO NOT attempt to do ANYTHING, before drinking 14 cups of coffee.

(8) Check the local TV and radio news to see if your description has been aired...if so, you will need a disguise for the rest of the day.

(9) Even after a night's sleep, alcohol can still effect your senses..
You may find that the ugly typist at your office suddenly looks enchanting..under no circumstances should you approach without the supervision of a sober and trusted pal.

First of all...welcome to the wonderful world of alcohol!!!

Secondly, there is a POSSIBILITY that traces of alcohol might still be in your system, but it wouldn't be enough to make you feel the effects of being drunk. The average male can eliminate the amount of one alcoholic drink per hour from his system. (12 oz beer, 1 shot liquor, 4-5 oz wine) Honestly, I wouldn't really worry about anything.

Third, there is a small chance that since this is your first bout with alcohol, your body just doesn't know how to handle the situation. A few people have mentioned dehydration before and this could very well be the case. Just drink a good amount of water and you should be fine.

Lastly,
No, no, I didn't "knock" anyone up, lol!

............are you SURE?

Eventually you'll get used to it and enjoy passing out and waking up not knowing where you are.

Sometime's I can manage 8 Stellas, a couple of shots, *some information missing* and wake up the next day at 8am and go to work. No problems :D

Maybe I should stop drinking :dunno:

I have a friend who is a total lightweight, and nearly every time he goes out he will suddenly disapear, and we won't know (and he won't know) where he went... But he always takes his camera out with him, so in the morning he looks at his photos and can piece together what happened :1orglaugh Some of the places he ends up are so wierd.

Hmmm, I'm trying to think of any beer games You Might have played, that involve picking your nose?

Or maybe he tried to 'Knock someone up" and eithier the girl or her boyfriend resented that idea. You never know when "you can't remember".

20+? HA! more like 200+.

And he usually takes photos of his himself next to road signs, rooftops, peoples gardens, homeless people... You know the drill.

Well since it was your first time maybe your friends gave you more than your body can handle. You should start these things gradually, one my first time I took one tequile shot and it got me tipsy for a little while.
If you're gonna be a drinker, you better get used to feeling like shit the day after and even ocasionally having hangovers. You know what they say, what goes up must go down.
The worst hangover I had was for about 24 hours.
