I don't smoke, but I will have one when I'm worried about something.

I smoke, and the best you can smoke is a big fat cigar!
Well, Hello there, Lisa, welcome to the boards. :D

I don't smoke, I have a low lung capacity because of the fact that I have spina bifida, so I don't even like being around 2nd hand smokers because it's too hard for me to breathe around them. So if we ever meet in person, please don't smoke around me. :(

Of course I will let my cigar inside the box. I am not a big smoker more for fun and on parties in combination with a good glass whine or whisky :D.

I've been smoking for 15 years and have no intention to stop. I tried to cease 2 years ago and could do without cigarettes for 3 months - it was actually easier than I expected, but I started gaining weight, which was annoying, and even worse was the fact that I always fell asleep without a cigarette when I woke up in the morning and was waiting for water for my coffee to boil. I came to my office in time max. 10 times during my non-smoking period and started having problems with my manager. When I started smoking again, this problem disappeared.

I bet if you saw a picture of what your lungs looked like right now, you'd quit. :(

People tend to justify smoking as therapy because it is so. Not because of the fact that it's a cigarette they are smoking. Controlled breathing keeps you calm and controlled. So basically, smoking is just a controlled breathing process to calm your nervs, and the added feel you get from the toxins numbs any discomfort or pain because it makes you feel light-headed.

Some people can deal without it, some people can't. Fact of life.

I smoke......but I am still trying to quit. And it sucks. I hate cigarettes, I do, but I:mad: keep buying the damn things. I hate them........they stink, they make me stink, and I think I would rather lick the floor of a public restroom than taste cigarettes, but I keep smoking them.

I believe it was the great Steve Miller who once said "I'm a smoker, I'm a joker" And ever since then I have been afraid to smoke, because I don't want to be a joker!

some people have said that I am flaming.

I smoked for years.....quit when I turned 50.....5 years ago. Didn't want to press my luck and end up dying from lung cancer like so many others I have known. Best decision I ever made. Now, I can't even believe that I was ever stupid enough to let tobacco rule my life.
