Actually, you may not have the problem that we have down in the warmer, higher humidity climates where the seasonal temperatures provide optimal living conditions for the critters.

Are sinus related allergies generally hard to come by up thata way ?

Another question out of sheer curiousity, Plasma, do you find that there is little in the form of dust accumulation throughout your household ?
Say for example, if you were to take a clean pane of glass and you placed it flat on the floor in a generally undisturbed part of the residence, do you think that the pane would be somewhat dusted with particulate matter after a month ?

I'm certain that forced air HVAC has a lot to do with dust distribution in my place. The only furnace filters that seem to work well are the expensive 3M disposable types at $16 - $18 bucks a pop every two to three months. :crash: :o

So, yea, these microscopic critters do not do well in cold and / or very dry climates, nor do they survive climates in excess of 5,000 ft. (1.524km) elevations.

U gotta get a Kirby vacume cleaner it has an attachment for mattresses.

The real challenge is collecting the deep down dust allergens that tends to sift through linen surfaces. IMO, The best way to resolve mattress and box spring trapped allergens is to cover them with hypoallergenic dust covers that zip up, the water proof type if possible.

and of course, vacuum as much as possible, shitcan your wall to wall carpets and replace with hardwood or tile and use very thin washable area rugs throughout the house.

It's really something, you'll never know how poor the air is in you home until you get yourself one of those newer super bright LED flashlights, they illuminate everything !
