Agreed. I think people of all sizes look great, whether they're 100 pounds, 120 pounds, 200 pounds, whatever. I just think it's the extremes that aren't good, so if you're an obese 600 pound slob or a bone thin 60 pound stick, something is definitely not right.
Yeah, I'm with you on that. It just sucks when beautiful women who are rightfully proud and confident of their bodies end up calling down other body types in the process. ie: "REAL women have curves!" It ends up conveying a bad message about females in general. One of my favorite body types is the curvy hourglass figure, but I don't think I'm any less of a woman just because that's not what I look like. As far as I'm concerned a "real woman" is one who doesn't put down other women, no matter what shape or size we are. Variety is the spice of life, how boring would it be if we all looked the same? Anyway I'm going off on a tangent, it was the title of this thread that got me going... lol.
But yes, being as frighteningly thin as the women featured in Roald's delightful post or excessively obese is dangerously unhealthy no matter how you look at it. Aside from those extremes, anything from petite to BBW and everything in between is beautiful in my book!
