This is just for discussion purposes, so everyone play nicely. Obviously I'm not a mod or a team member, so it is most likely that this thread will have no bearing on anything.
Should FreeOnes continue to allow threads that congratulate the members on achieving a thousand (and ever subsequent thousand) posts? What do these threads accomplish? Do they make people feel so loved that they're a vital part of the board?
I would be in favour of disallowing said threads, as the Rep congratulatory threads were disallowed. At the very least, they should go into a category that won't allow rep. And, I think, if you eliminated the rep possibilities from these threads, people would not be so interested in posting/creating these threads.
I participate in these threads currently, but will almost certainly cease doing so. I would vote that these threads, which do not actually contribute anything to the board overall, would stop.
