shooters, 1st or 3rd person?

Play public annex in gears 2. Pretty good for blood flow! Gets fuckin intense! I've have several matches were we won or lost by only a couple seconds.

I prefer First person, but like many have mentioned it does depend on the game. Gears would never have worked as well as a FPS.

Oh Ok I suppose I am more akin to 1st person (the stupid body of the character doesnt keep getting in the way of things. Games seriously should give you the option of choosing which a good example of this was the origional Far Cry game. The way it shouldnt be done is how it was done in Dead Space (so damn annoying)

1st person can get a pic chaotic at times, and at times it is very hard to maneuver your character.
Also with first person you cant see who is behind you,
I prefer 3rd person, you have a better feel of the character,freedom of movement is more realistic,case in point the The Hitman series. Look how wonderful it feels to roam around in 3rd person blasting people,or sneaking up on them and fuckign them up like an assasin.

I think that's one aspect I really enjoyed about Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I could run around in 3rd person and when there was something to fight I could switch to 1st on the fly for finesse.

Yeah, the chainsaw move might have been more difficult...or maybe easier...Now I'm just thinking of how awesome it was in Doom...but sticky grenades definitely wouldn't have been the same...and n00bs need their sticky grenades. lol

I voted for fuck you legz only because i didnt have the option to vote for "im undecided". Its hard to say which i prefer because it all depends on the game. Call of Duty series are epic because there 1st person, Resident Evil 5 is epic because its 3rd person.
