Shark Vs. Polar Bear Smackdown

Conspiracy...
Natural Born Enemies? Aug. 15, 2008 -- Adult polar bears, among the largest and most powerful carnivores, are thought to have no natural enemies, but that assessment might change in light of a polar bear jawbone recently found in the stomach of a Greenland shark.

While Greenland sharks, which can grow up to 24 feet long, are known to have eaten large seals, porpoises, an entire reindeer and parts of a *****, the discovery is rare evidence that they may also feast upon polar bears.

Yeah! That polar bear should've stayed out of the Sharks' turf!!

It’s one of those rivalries that has a distinct home field advantage.

yea there really isn't anything that can take on a shark in the water and win.

A man with a big boat and big fishing nets can!!

A healthy fast moving Dolphin is more than a match for up to 3-4 great white sharks. Apparently they instinctively know just where to ram a shark to stun/**** them.

I say to make it fair they need to put them both in a shallow pool of water that only goes up about half way on them. :D

Polar bears usually swim from place to place to find food, they have been known to swim at least 60 miles across open sea in order to find food. Of course you can be as strong a swimmer as Michael Phelps and still get a chunk taken out of you by a shark because you're never going to be anywhere near as adaptive and comfortable in the water as sharks are.

But I suppose if you have to eat then you have to take that risk.

Well sharks need to keep moving to breathe don't they? Mr Polar Bear should wait until Mr Shark is all sleepy and slowly drifting about and then stealth swin up to him and punch him right in the face... down like a sack of greenland spuds - woo! :D

Figuring I'm a Chicago fan, I feel pity for the bears.... but wait until next season, i bet you see shark fin soup in the bear's stomach

thats cheating though. Put that same man in the water and not on it...

I betcha Tarzan could...

The polar bear should do like the other bears do and smack it out of the water like they do salmon, er wait a minute that might not work. Fuck yeah sharks rule!

youve been watching flipper reruns again?

What sort of shark was this? can someone post a pic? you'd think only a great white could have taken on a polar bear!

It doesn't matter if you're the most badass carnivore of all time. If you are a land ****** swimming in water, a shark will win. Any type of shark would take a polar bear in the water.

On a side note.

there are lots of bad-ass sharks. The Mako and the Tiger are usually considered foul-tempered beasts. Anything 12- 18 feet long is gonna be a *******. Saw a 15 foot Tiger once while fishing a couple miles off shore...the boat seemed really small. Cue Roy Scheider.
