The human species is just a mixed bag. Most people are decent human beings who don't err too much in either direction. You just have to remember that it's all about the outliers. And when it's a choice between someone donating time at a soup kitchen out of the kindness of their heart, or some asshole lighting puppies on fire the asshole will always be the one who gets the attention. Perhaps the problem is where we prioritize our attention. We focus too much on the dark and not enough on the light, and by extension the world seems a darker place because of it.

I am so sick of those people. Animals should be treated with kindness. I have 3 dogs and 2 cats and I love them so much. Sometimes when I look at them I a thankful that they are around because they brought so much joy in the house and we feel so secured with them around.
