Seriously... how can you support ABORTIONS????

Shifty

If you watched the video, you would have realized it was a debate on the floor in 2009.

Just a friendly heads up .... someone used to come here and post tonnes of shit ... then claim "If you watched the video ..."

They're no longer here.

I thought conservatives are all about small government, keeping them out of your life. However they have no problem being all up in your personal life. What business is it of theirs if a woman chooses to get an abortion,if a man wants to marry another man, or if a man wants to have sex with another man? Someone like Santorum wants to control the bodies of women. Here's a suggestion for conservatives: stay out of our bedrooms! it's none of your business

lol, you disn't watch the video either. Otherwise, you would have seen the part where.... ah fuck it...at the 4:48 mark of the video he slams your statement all to hell.

People shouldn't be obligated to have a kid nor should a kid with shitty parents have to be brought into this world.

Funny how those who are FOR abortions, have already been born.

I watched that video up until the "Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio?" line.

It wasn't easy getting that far, but I tried.

The point is not if people are pro or against abortions. Abortions will be made any which way.

It is: Are you pro or against choice?

Because if women don't get to choose under certain circumstances, of course, then they will try it at home or go to shady backally doctors, and more blood will be shed.

Plus: Santorum says he thinks babys from rape are a gift of god.

He is despicable.

What about all the miscarriages?

Aren't those simply abortions from GOD? :1orglaugh

Religious people make me laugh.
Even more so when they are religious politicians trying to make their religious views into law!

Actually, he didn't say "babies from rape are a gift from God".

What he actually said:

Last Friday, CNN’s Piers Morgan asked Santorum to clarify his reasoning behind such a callous position. Insisting that “it’s not a matter of religious values,” Santorum explained that sexual assault victims should “accept this horribly created” pregnancy because it is “nevertheless a gift in a very broken way” and that, when it comes down to it, a victim just has “to make the best out of a bad situation“:

SANTORUM: Well, you can make the argument that if she doesn’t have this baby, if she kills her child, that that, too, could ruin her life. And this is not an easy choice. I understand that. As horrible as the way that that son or daughter and son was created, it still is her child. And whether she has that child or doesn’t, it will always be her child. And she will always know that. And so to embrace her and to love her and to support her and get her through this very difficult time, I’ve always, you know, I believe and I think the right approach is to accept this horribly created — in the sense of rape — but nevertheless a gift in a very broken way, the gift of human life, and accept what God has given to you. As you know, we have to, in lots of different aspects of our life. We have horrible things happen. I can’t think of anything more horrible. But, nevertheless, we have to make the best out of a bad situation.

Without getting too much into this I'll just point out that I've always loved the irony of defending the right to life and protecting the unborn, but as soon as they are born the right doesn't give a shit about them. Fix the thousand problems that exist for living children before you start going after the unborn ones.

What's even more bizarre is being against abortion, but then not supporting any form of welfare.

"You got raped? Too bad, it's God's gift, now go starve to death!"

lol

I do believe women should be able to choose but I do believe it is wrong to murder your child ... in cases of rape abortion is an acceptable choice, however still sad.
