"If you can cheat, then cheat." Wow - real gypsy mentality. It seems like scamming and double-dealing are even more ingrained in Chinese culture than guns are in ours. :D

I have no desire to get anywhere near China. I'm sure that some people may be interested in or fascinated by the ancient culture and landmarks. I'd just as soon read about that or watch the History Channel. Now, I would like to visit Japan someday... preferably during the week that F1 is in Suzuka.

Ironically, all that history/culture that made it a world heritage treasure trove didn't too so well during that little thing called the Cultural Revolution.
What idiot thought: "Our rich cultural heritage brought everything from paper, tea and gunpowder into the world. Let's burn it to the ground!"

Also instead of going during any F1 event, go to Suzuka when there's nothing on. That's when you can go-karting on the track. It's the only F1 course I've ever driven on, and I'd argue it's even better on a kart.

Ask Petra about asian cheats!

She just offered that little punk a ride home, who was drunk like a skunk at the pub, next thing she knew, he was an admin at FreeOnes.

Better watch out next time!!!

Cool. I envy you.

I'll probably never make it to Japan anyway, but I'd love to share in the experience of being at Suzuka with all of the other F1 fanatics during a race. On the slim chance that I ever make it, maybe I could stay after the race and try out the go-karts.

Don't say that! I'm sure if you really want to go you will get there!
It was voted best travel destination for 2018 so there are lots of options for visiting. It's not the cheapest place to travel, but it's safe and very tourist friendly.

You're right about the crowds though. There is something about being among people at a race who share that passion. Just keep in mind that the karting is done during the low times to bring people to track when there's nothing going on.

Speaking of Japanese fans, did you watch Girls und Panzer? There's a neat reference where one of the tank team's names are:
Nakajima
Hoshino
Suzuki
Tsuchiya

Get it? ;)
