Savers can snag a free $200 bonus from Capital One Bank with a combined $1250 minimum deposit

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
Hopefully this is cool with the folks at FreeOnes. This is not a scam or a scheme or anything like that. And hopefully most of you have seen me around or know me well enough to know that when it comes to money (cars and girls), I'm quite serious. I do not and have never worked for Capital One and I'm not even a shareholder. But several months ago I took advantage of an offer to open a Capital One 360 savings account and got a $100 bonus just for opening it. I got it, so it is legit. And Capital One is an FDIC insured institution, so your money is safe. Capital One was primarily a credit card issuer until they bought the U.S. based operations of ING Direct (Orange). Now they're expanding their consumer banking division and trying to build up their checking & savings account base, along with their mortgage division.

So anyway, assuming this is cool with FreeOnes, I just wanted to pass this along to the posters here, in case anyone is in a position to open one or both accounts to snag some free bucks. It's part of a "Black Friday" promotion and ends on Dec. 1. Here's a summary:

Savings:
How it works:

Open a no-fee 360 Savings Account between Nov. 28th and Dec. 1st with an initial deposit of $1,000 or more.
Snag a bonus of $100.
Enjoy the gift of saving.

Checking:
How it works:

Open a fee-free 360 Checking® Account between Nov. 28th and Dec. 1st.
Make an initial deposit of at least $250.
Complete 5 Debit Card purchases, deposit checks from anywhere with CheckMateSM or any combo of both within 45 days.
Snag your $100 bonus on day 50.

And if you want to refer a friend, you can get yourself an extra $40 per referal:
How it works:

Refer friends and family between Nov. 28th and Dec. 1st.
Earn a $40 bonus for every friend you refer who opens an account between Nov. 28th and Dec. 1st (your pal will earn a bonus, too).
Celebrate the season of giving with some extra-festive bonus cash.

While I'd like to refer the folks here and score some free bucks, that would involve a loss of anonymity that either or both of us might not be comfortable with. ;)

Here's the link for anyone who is interested. And when people say bad things about me (which they probably should much of the time), don't say I never gave ya nothin'! :D

Capital One Black Friday Sale

And if this is not cool with the FreeOnes folks... my apologies. But hey, free money is free money. And I figured we all like free money - especially if it's risk free and doesn't involve the use of a pistol or a fake identity to get it.

***Disclaimer: If you already have one of these accounts at Capital One, you can't get the bonus on that type of account, but you can get it on the other one (as I just did).***
